How to Deal with Difficult People

I know that I probably shouldn't be posting other people's remarks on sites, but Muni posted this at BuddhismWithoutBoundaries.com I find it to be so useful and practical, putting dharma into real life situations that can be challenging. So I wanted to share it here. Enjoy, and thank you Muni!

This is a small view in which Bön and Tonglen are not far away but I like it and want to share it. Can be helpful.

We all can encounter in our life boring ones (haha) and so called difficult people. Our practice on our daily path can be supported by positive thought energy to deal with them.
An experience that a difficult person is throwing its energy on us, steals our power, causing us upset and is giving us the idea to be defenceless. Such person obstructs our path of life and by the influence our peaceful mind gets dark clouds. Not only our peace is stolen but our possiblity to recognize clarity is hidden. Mind is like a cristal colored by the difficult person. But lucky: cristal itself remains pure.
We should never feel need to harm them back. Send him/her to Timbuktu is no help.

But we can do this exercise:
Focus on the individual and visualizise him/her in mind. Then say loudly: may all blessings flow to you and may knowledge flow to you. I reclaim the power you have taken and take it back. May love and good fortune come to you. Now you are not longer a problem for me and your difficult energy dissolves into wisdom. You regard me with respect.
Repeate as long as needful.

And when the "root problem" dissolves, this practice is helpful for our human fellows to keep in

A White Tara for you Muni...
