Ambrosia of mindfulness.
Jestun Milarepa said: "If you need something to drink, drink the tea of mindfulness and vigilance".
If you are gradually going to make your qualities evolve and overcome faults, you need to be constantely aware of your state of mind, and to be mindful of the importance of your actions and the consequences they bring!
It is essential to maintain mindfulness whatever you are doing, whether you are walking, sitting, eating or resting.
It will give strenght to face death with confidence.
When confronted with the terrifying apparations of the bardo, you will be able to remember your spiritual teacher and the Three Jewels throughout the process of death and rebirth; by availing yourself of the processes of cause and effect, you will continue to progress on the path.
Mindfulness guides our actions, our spiritual endeavors. whatever we do, always apply three essentiam points, undertake the action with the intention of doing so for good of all concept of subject, object of action; and finally dedicate the merit we have created to the enlightenment of ALL BEINGS.
At night wae can examine what we have thought and done during daytime and confess our faults and unconsidered actions and repair them. Tell ourselves that, having encountered teaching and recieved instructions, we know better than to behave like that.
As for our positive actions, dedicate the merit to all beings and vow to improve on them following day. Kyabje Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche. _/\_ _/\_ _/\_
