'I am not, I will not be.
I have not, I will not have.
This frightens all children,
And kills fear in the wise.'

  2. Ah Tashi, speaking as a mother I think I can grasp this a tiny bit. For in the presence of the child, the mother fails to find a self that is apart from the loved one, in any real, separate, or compassionless sense. I don't mean unhealthy enmeshment and hovering, but true joining of hearts and the deep sense or realization of the fact that there are no individual beings to save. Four eyes with one sight.
